Happy Birthday Jonathan!

I can't believe that five years have passed since Jonathan came into our lives. It's unbelievable - it seems like only yesterday that I held him for the first time, but at the same time, it's hard to remember a time when he WASN'T here too.

His party is actually going to be on Saturday, at Burger King. I went to his school and passed out the party invitations yesterday, and this is the picture his teacher sent me a little while later. Can you tell he's excited?



When he woke up this morning, he was a riot. He was making these whimpering sounds like crazy, and I asked him what was wrong. He sprang up and with a silly grin said, "I'm not upset....I'm EXCITED!!!"

After school, I picked each of the kids up and got kid's meals from the ever faithful McDonald's, then went to the park to play and feed the ducks.

The novelty of feeding the ducks wore off pretty quickly, but it was still lots of fun. Can you believe that we fed those spoiled ducks almost a whole loaf of bread? Well, we shared with a few other kids that were there, and it was all in good fun, so it didn't matter. Just being together, doing something different, was my goal, and it worked out quite well. Too bad Austin was still at work.....oh well, definitely next time.
