We spent a pretty much quiet day at home on this year's 4th. Jonathan and Annah (along with Bella!) did some playing in the sprinkler, then later some swimming in their new pool (which was given to them on the 4th by Grandma). Later the four of us went out and lit a few packs of sparklers and had fun with those. Annah accidentally ran into Austin with a couple of just-extinguished ones, and burned his arm nicely, but it was completely without fault on anyone's part, and it didn't ruin our fun. We stayed up late watching movies, then turned in for a relaxing night.
Matthew, on the other hand, had a late night, obviously filled with fun. He's spending the latter part of the summer with Austin's brother, Derek (and his family), and they all loaded up and went to Virginia Beach for the holiday. Matthew said that he saw the best fireworks display he's ever seen there on the beach. They got home late, and slept in on Sunday morning, while the Milledgeville counterpart of his family was up early (thanks Jonathan and Annah!)
All in all, I think everyone had a great 4th of July. I miss Matthew, but know he's having a great time and getting some good learning lessons while being away. Can't wait til the end of July when he comes home though!
